Low Key 

 

Using only one studio light and a makeshift black background, I aimed to capture the sombre, reflective mood of the nurse showing the responsibility she has to her patients during her night shift.

Using the same lighting equipment, I wanted to show the various expressions of the boy. The mood here is more cheerful, suggesting thoughtfulness and optimism for the future

High Key

​

For my high key images I used a three-lighting system, one to light the background, the other two at 45° and 315° covering fill light and main light functions.

 

The mood created by these strong lighting effects is one of happiness and enjoyment as seen in the cheerful faces of the subjects
