I have recently developed a renewed interest in black and white photography. This began after using my phone to capture live black and white images around Manchester. I loved the vintage look it produced and decided I would use my old film camera to record buildings and places in other towns around the city.

 

I then developed the films myself and followed up with scanning the negatives to produce positive results. My most current project is about the canals in the Manchester conurbation. I find the intermingling of the old canal system with the regeneration around them an intriguing concept.
